"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me" (Galatians 2:20) Life, a long white canvas I draw and decorate each page day by day, will show me who I am when I put all the pages together. Like to share the thoughts and effort to make the best picture with all that have been given to me for the purpose I was created.

Thomas Watson
Good discourse would prevent sinful discourse. Much sin passes in ordinary talk, as gravel and mud pass along with water. How many are guilty of tongue-sins! Good discourse would prevent evil, as labour prevents idleness. If we are accustomed our tongues to the heavenly dialect, the devil would not have so much power over us....
A lascivious tongue shows a lustful heart, an earthly tongue a covetous heart; a gracious tongue a gracious heart....
We must be accountable to God for our speeches. Words are judged light, but they weigh heavy in God's balance. By our words we shall be either saved or damned: "For by thou words thou shall be justified, and by thou words thou shall be condemned"(Matt. 12:37). If our words have been seasoned with grace, then the acquitting sentence is likely to go on our side.
Good discourse is a Christian honour. The tongue is called our glory (Psa. 30:12), because it is the instrument of glorifying God. When our tongues are out of tune in murmuring, then they are not our glory; but when the organs sound in holy discourse, then our tongues are our glory.

My Understanding? Psalm 119:67, 127, 145, 175
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey Your Word.
127 Because I love Your commands more than gold, more than pure gold,...
145 I call with all my heart; answer me, LORD, and I will obey Your decrees.
175 Let me live that I may praise You, and may Your laws sustain me.
Though I have read and meditated on these words many times before, I, now, realize that I didn't have the slightest idea what David was talking about. How arrogant of me that I used to think I knew what it means! David's cry and joy and understanding from the deep of his heart after what seemingly endless hardship he had to go through! How true is it that afflictions in our lives is the key to our understanding of who we are and Who God is.
Praise the loving Lord! I will live this day following the footsetps of my Lord,Jesus, obeying The Word. Lord, strengthen me to be able to do so. Amen.
